Additional Details

Attractive example of the second edition of the "Rosa" map, published in the wake of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo - a signing which put an end to the Mexican-American War in 1848 and established the original boundary between the two nations. Little is known about the Parisian publisher Rosa, but the map is a straightforward derivation of the Tanner/Disturnell models of the region.
