"The drawing will go to Manchester tomorrow. I am not pasting it up at back, since you talk of changing the glass . . . I forget if you saw the picture I did for Mr. Graham from the Blessed Damozel a poem of my own. This head is the study for the principal head in the picture . . . I like the frame you send much & wd. adopt that design, only I prefer mortising to mitring in the flat . . . The frame makers' prices here can only be stood when one gets a big haul for one's picture . . ."
