Large engraved plate looking in on a group of men of science congregated around a massive globe. 28 1/2x34 1/2 inches sheet size, wide margins with pencil signatures of Roybet and Charles Albert Waltner (engraver) below image; laid on heavy card, stain and glue remnants from a previous top mat. with: A small (9 3/4x10 inch) printed key to the image, laid on board and with a portion of the lower margin notched out to fit a small cut piece of the original copper printing plate.
