Known for her whimsical maps in the 1930s, much in the style of Jo Mora and John Held, Jr., which were published in Our USA - A Gay Geography, Ruth Taylor created "cartographs" for every state in the union. She also designed a poster of California for United Air Lines, as well as this map for the 1939 exposition in San Francisco. During World War II, White volunteered with the Red Cross in India, where she created a map of the View of American Red Cross China, India, and Burma (https://www.lapl.org/).
