Broadside with albumen photograph of the missing Dr. Roy, along with a paragraph describing his height and weight, appearance, "black moustache, high forehead, prominent brows," the clothes he was last seen in, down to his underpants "gray undershirt and striped draws," and "Peculiarities," including his "bashful disposition" and "double row of flat warts extending from under his chin," printed in a variety of typefaces for William Murray, Superintendent of Police, at 300 Mulberry Street in New York; toned paper, old folds, some wrinkles where photo is mounted, 8 1/2 x 11 in.

"Note.-- The Doctor is a very close student, and it is feared he has wandered away under a temporary derangement of mind from over application to his profession." According to press reports in the New York Times, Dr. Roy was found by his family in Richmond Virginia on March 26, 1887. Unfortunately, the dentist took his own life in May of 1922 at the age of sixty-four.
