Additional Details

from the alfred morrison collection. Written only one month after taking the throne and just prior to marrying Henrietta Maria, Louis XIII's sister. Although the text of the letter appears to be in another hand, the closing "Votre tres affectionnne Frére, Cousin & ancien Allie" appears to be written by the King.
