Hand-colored engraved case map in 20 sections, 730x590 mm overall; slightest scattered foxing; linen-backed; bookplate of Lord Percy mounted to the linen on the verso, skillfully calligraphed in a contemporary hand are 2 lines on the linen verso of one map end-section: "L:D Percy. || New-York."; housed in a modern morocco folding box. Lord Percy's copy. This map comes from Sotheby's sale of the Percy family properties on May 14-16, 1997 at Lord Percy's suburban London residence - the Syon House in Brentford, Lot 363. Included with the map is Babinski's 1997 reference book on maps drawn by C. J. Sauthier - published in July 1997 in only 6 copies. It is custom bound in morocco to match the clamshell box.
