Additional Details

Christian Schad (1894-1982) was an early Dadaist. He produced his first cameraless photographs, which are generally known as photograms, in 1918. His friend and colleague Tristan Tzara referred to these images as "Schadographs." In 1960, when he resumed working as a photographer, he reexplored this lyrical art form.<
