The image is the Russian answer to Cassandre, with a stylized ship sailing out from behind a strip of film, perhaps also trying to emphasize the Russian film industry and such giants as Sergei Eisenstein. It is curious, and representative of the era in which the poster was printed, that there were cruises between Russia and Palestine!
