Huckaby's recent work includes painterly portraits inspired by jazz music and quilts that have been in his family. His work is found in many museum collections, including the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University, Durham, NC, and the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York.
