The motif of capturing an area's diverse tourist attractions within the outline of a figure is reminiscent of Sascha Maurer's poster for the New Haven Railroad (see Lot 215). But here, in this scarce pre-Castro image, the destination is made more alluring, as the contours are those of a sunbathing young lady whose posterior is modestly concealed by a discreetly-placed straw hat.
