The Royal Mail Line, in addition to its nominal function as a cargo service for mail, was also an old and prestigious passenger line, founded in 1839 as the RMSP (Royal Mail Steam Packet Company). Royal Mail Lines Ltd. was created in 1932, when the original company dissolved amidst financial scandals.
