". . . I substituted Bradleys name in place of Kings for one of the two Inspectors. King seemed to be so anxious to have something done to keep him from going to Larimee & it being impossible to make any regimental changes . . . I thought it would be agreeable . . . .
"I do not understand that the Inspectors I nominated are for your Dept. but suppose there are [two] voices here & Suspect Engineer disbursements or such other duty as may be designated. . . .'
