Mounted on the front pastedown is a one-page ALS from Sherring presenting this copy to Trevor, noting that "the photo on p. 344 of Chojan Peak marks the spot where your yak fell if I mistake not," next to which Trevor pencilled, "He is wrong here . . . I was further into Thibet 20,000 feet."
