In the gruesome and powerful image, Trotsky is depicted naked and red like the devil, seated upon a pile of skulls. He has a bloody dagger in one hand and a pistol in the other and is receiving advice from the specter of death who is whispering into his ear. The caption reads "Bolshevik Freedom."
