Additional Details

Sir William Russell Flint sketched several "Andromeda" models; a similarly posed model appears in his gouache on board Models for Olympians, which was sold at Christie's, New York, February 15, 1995. Flint was known for figurative, often mythic, illustrations and landscapes. Among his most well known illustrations were his works for King Solomon's Mines (1905) and The Odyssey (1914).
