Skoglund creates photographs inspired by surrealistic motifis by building elaborate sets, furnishing them with carefully selected colored furniture and other objects, a process of which takes her months to complete. In this elaborate tableau, the photographic shards, painted car and silverware, as well as the figures' colorful outfits were also designed by the artist. She photographs the set, complete with actors.
