Album entitled "Brazil," with 32 photographs of architectural studies along coastal areas in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro as well as land- and seascape views. Ferrotyped silver prints, approximately 8 3/4x11 1/2 inches (22.2x29.2 cm.), and the reverse, with Smith's signature and date (on all but one), in pencil, and the location and sequential number, in a heavier pencil, on mount recto; with a hand drawn/colored title page. Elephant folio, green linen over boards, worn; title page detached; with a color reproduction and an issue of The Architectural Review 1944 featuring an article and photographs by Smith laid in. 1942

George Everard Kidder Smith was trained as an architect who published books on the modern architectural movement such as ''Brazil Builds: Architecture New and Old, 1652-1942" (1943), which accompanied an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art.
