Homolka (1911-1962) was initially a dancer and became a photographer in 1937, producing portraits of members of her close-knit cultural community. A friend of Evans and Steichen, her work regularly appeared in "U. S. Camera," and is in the permanent collection of the J. Paul Getty Museum.
