Possibly a design for a Young & Rubican advertising campaign to increase Time Magazine's readership, 1950s Matted and framed. Besides drawing his famous New Yorker cartoons and writing and illustrating award-winning children's books, William Steig did a lot of advertising that he hated. He is perhaps best remembered today for having created the character Shrek.
