Additional Details

"I approve of your orders respecting the militia of your neighbourhood, but do not conceive it can be necessary to keep those of Orange & Spotsylvania any longer on duty. . . . I have applyed to the executive for a supply of arms & ammunition for the troops under your command, but am told that none can be supply'd from hence. The 350 stand lately sent for repairs will I hope be soon rendered fit for use."
