Completed in 1909, the New York City Police Headquarters, located at 240 Centre Street, was designed by the Hoppin & Koen architectural firm. It served as police headquarters from 1909 until 1973. In 1988 the building was renovated by Ehrenkranz Group & Eckstut architectural firm, converting it into luxury residences.
