Although unisigned this work bears the pencil written name "Willmarth" on the verso. William Willmarth ran a studio in Omaha Nebraska, where the Union Pacific Railroad was based, and his name appears on several Union Pacific Sun Valley posters. To this best of our knowledge this image never appeared as a poster.
