Additional Details

Before the economic boons that resulted in urban gentrification and deluxe real estate, New York City was a phantasmagoria of edgy street life. Supraner captures the darker days of Manhattan in its derelict buildings, ugly graffiti, xxx-rated video shops, and the folks for whom the street was their home. Each print reflects a keen documentary aesthetic, in which alienation looms large.
