Social-Demokraten was a moderate left-wing newspaper that commissioned Henricksen, a self-taught artist turned graphic designer, to design a poster for their 60th anniversary. The result is a truly strong image with the red, stylized reader seen from behind reading a large white newspaper. To make the broad-sheet stand out even more Henricksen includes a shadow-effect, a conceit he used in several of his posters for this publication, to help add power to the image.
