John Swannell began his career as David Bailey's assistant at Vogue Studios, which was the British epicenter for 1960s glamour photography, and quickly developed an independent clientele among the high fashion magazines. Today, he is considered one of Great Britain's preeminent photographers, having photographed the entire British Royal Family, beginning with Princess Diana, in 1994. He was also commissioned to shoot the Queen's 2002 Golden Jubilee birthday celebration.
