SWINBURNE, ALGERNON CHARLES. A Midsummer Holiday, with three Autograph Manuscripts, unsigned, bound in near the relevant printed poem. The manuscripts, each a fragment of a working draft. The first, 25 lines from stanzas 3-5 of his poem, "Nine Years Old." The second, 24 lines from stanzas 12-14 of "A Word for the Country." The third, 24 lines from stanzas 18-20 of the same poem. Together 3 pages, 12 1/2x7 3/4 inches or smaller, pale blue paper, each attached to stub at upper left edge; few short closed tears at edges, minor scattered smudging to text, blue crayon numerals in unknown hand at upper right of two, faint toning at edges, folds. The book, 8vo, green morocco, spine faded, some rubbing to raised bands and edges; some chipping to fore edge of few scattered leaves, original cloth covers bound in. London, 1884; manuscripts: Np, nd
