Sammelband of Papal Bulls.
Nineteen Examples, 1586-1587.
Folio format pamphlet-length works, two to six leaves each; all printed in Rome by Antonius Bladius, Impressores Camerales; each addressing a different issue under Pope Sixtus V (1521-1590), who served as Pope from April 1585 until his death in August of 1590; many woodcut emblems; nicely preserved in half parchment and decorated paper boards, 12 1/4 x 8 1/2 in.

Sixtus V inherited chaotic lawlessness in the Papal States after the term of Gregory XIII. As a result, he issued a flurry of orders to collect new taxes, re-establish civil order, and improve infrastructure.
