Tony Sarg's Alphabet.

New York: Greenberg, Inc., [circa 1926].

First edition, tall octavo; with emblematic illustrations by Sarg for each letter of the alphabet, with text by Stoddard, i.e., "Q is for Queen of Hearts," printed in magenta, cyan, yellow and black; bound in pictorial boards, with illustrated endleaves and the scarce original pictorial dust jacket (jacket with three minor areas of loss at edges, spine and lower panel rubbed; front hinge starting, extremities rubbed, small loss at spine head); 9 x 6 3/4 in

Known primarily for designing balloon characters for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Sarg was also a prolific illustrator, collector, designer, and puppeteer.
