Saturn S-IVB and Adaptor Section Models. A 7 inch long Saturn IB/Saturn V upper stage mounted onto a rollable metal vehicle trailer with the J-2 engine visible. Stage is removable from trailer. With a Saturn V second stage adapter section mounted on its own metal trailer. The S-IVB can be mounted at the top of the adapter if desired. The S-IVB was the second stage of the Saturn IB launch vehicle and the third stage of the Saturn V vehicle. For the Douglas Aircraft Company, 1966

When used on the Saturn V, it was the stage that propelled the CSM/LM combination to the Moon. The overall management responsibility for this hardware was by Wernher von Braun and the Marshall Space Flight Center.
