First edition, the only quarto edition, woodcut device to title page (McKerrow 283), a large copy with all headlines and catchwords intact, the occasional wormhole filled with loss of one or two letters; bound in full brown morocco by Bedford; from the Rosenbach Collection, with typed card inserted, ex libris Herschel V. Jones and Terry with gilt-tooled morocco book labels pasted inside front board, 7 1/8 x 5 1/4 in.

Although not included in the traditional canon of Shakepeare's plays because it did not appear in the Folios, The Two Noble Kinsmen is a genuine work of collaboration between Fletcher and Shakespeare, taking more or less equal shares, written about 1613. (see Eugene M. Waith's introduction to The Two Noble Kinsmen, from the Oxford Shakespeare Series, Oxford, 1989. This is the only separate edition of the play printed in the 17th century.
