Skylab Model. An approximately 24-inch long metal and plastic model of America's first Space Station, SKYLAB. Positioned at a 90 degree angle is the Apollo Telescope Mount (ATM), with red decals labeling the Center Work Station, Sun and Star Sensors. Below the ATM is the Multiple Docking Adapter with red labels for the Docking Ports, Docking Targets, and Radiators. The main "Workshop" area has two levels of scaled labeled components inside the Experiments Area, the Sleep Compartment and Wardroom. Missing one entire solar wing and a second solar wing has two missing panels and one broken panel. One solar panel from the "windmill" is missing. Several of the interior components are loose and require re-gluing. The entire model rests on a 12x6 inch black lucite base with two 10-inch tall clear pedestals, bearing a label that reads in part: "George C. Marshall Space Flight Center, Graphic Engineering and Models Division, SKYLAB, 1:48 Scale." (ECR) NASA/MSFC, nd
