First folio edition, two parts in one volume with separate title page for the second part on Q5 recto; large woodcut devices to each title page; large printer's device to verso of colophon leaf; the premise of each canto printed within a woodcut border, with numerous decorative head- and tail-pieces throughout; lacking blank leaf Ii4, restoration to blank inner and top margins of three leaves; bound in 19th century speckled calf, gilt, all edges gilt, joints starting; purchased by the current owner from Scribner's in 1966; 10 3/8 x 6 3/4 in.
