A Norwegian fisherman in his little wooden boat is meeting one of the five Sandringham flying boats that were part of the Norwegian Air Lines fleet from 1947 onwards. Refitted British warplanes that went into civil service after the War, the Sandringhams were actually Short Sunderland flying boats. DNL used the planes for domestic service. In 1948 DNL merged with SAS.
