Another of Deutsch's decadent nightclub images, this time for the Tabarin<> dancing club. Here, making excellent use of the horizontal format, he depicts a couple, madly in love (even if only for one night), tightly embraced in a tango-like dance. However, on closer inspection the girl's eyes may very well be roaming the dance floor, already searching another partner. Deutsch slightly cuts off the dancer's hat and hair on the left side of the image, adding to the impression of movement already created by their dramatically outstretched arms.
