". . . I write to express my appreciation of the words of your editorial in the Globe Democrat. You remember Richelieu in the play, in praising De Mauprat to Julie de Mortimer said that he like him because when the Cardinal's play was given before the Court of Louis the XIII, he had applauded 'in the right places.' . . . [W]hen . . . one hears emphasis where he would like to have it put, it is sweetly gratifying and flattering and strongly commends the judgment of the Daniel who speaks. I have sent the editorial to my wife . . . . You will make her woman's heart rejoice. Of course she is an impartial judge and severe critic.
