"There was nothing you'd have wanted to do in 'The Ohio Lady,' I'm sure; nor will there be anything in a play of mine [Otis] Skinner is to do next year. These two are all I have for the present.
"But you may be sure that I do not forget 'Brean.' I know other work of yours, too, and have seen you play very different parts. . . ."
Edward Fielding played Knollingsworth Brean in Tarkington's Your Humble Servant, which opened at the Garrick theater in New York on January 3, 1910.
