Born into a family of artists, Cuneo was a painter and illustrator who excelled at locomotive images and military themes. He served as the official artist for Queen Elizabeth's coronation in 1953. Many of his paintings were turned into posters for the British Railway, each of which is distinguished by the great attention he paid to the technical details.
