Lithograph on cream wove paper, circa 1817. 169x145 mm; 6 5/8x5 3/4 inches, small margins. One of only several proofs. Ex-collection Alexis Hubert Rouart (Lugt 2187a, lower right recto, faded). A superb, richly-inked impression of this extremely scarce, early lithograph.
According to Delteil, "Très rare." He lists a mere 8 impressions in public collections and only 2 in private collections, including this impression formerly in the Rouart collection. Delteil 3.
