Additional Details

Don McDonah wrote in his review of the play in The New York Times: "The costume for the magician von Rothhart cast him as an owl and effectively translated the orginal conception of the figure for a modern sensibility. It was fiendishly effective, and one wonders why no one has tapped Mr. Gorey's considerable talent for ballet design before now for our major companies."--(November 3, 1975).
