Condition B+: repaired tears and restoration at edges, some affecting text at top; abrasions in image. Tom Purvis notes in his pre-war book, Poster Progress, "Lee-Elliott believes the poster artist must draw not what he sees but what he thinks, presenting an analysis with an almost childlike simplicity" (Poster Progress p. 74), and this is exactly the style Lee-Elliott employs here. This image also appeared on the cover of an airline timetable for the years 1938-39.
