Additional Details

first edition of thompson's third novel and the last hardcover edition to be published during his lifetime. Subsequently, Thompson would be consigned to the pulp racks. It wasn't until around the 1980s that his readership began to include those other than genre aficionados. Soon thereafter, Thompson's work enjoyed a wider appreciation, with his books reappearing in print, culminating in the slew of film adaptations, now numbering in the double-figures, that continue unabated. A beautiful copy in unrestored jacket.
