Feiffer commentary: Tomi could do just about anything. I thought all of his art, whether it was satire or children's books, or other things were wonderful. He had a great sense of style, color, line, originality. He came up with wonderful concepts. He became one of the most original, interesting cartoonists we had in that period. He moved to Nova Scotia because he felt he was badly misunderstood here in the United States. And he became more and more self-involved. I miss him, but in the end we weren't speaking to each other.
