Truman" and signed "J. Pendergast" [present], and acknowledging it to be a forgery. 1 page, 4to, White House stationery, with integral blank; faint band of toning along left edge, horizontal fold. "I am enclosing you a spasm which came to me a day or two ago. You can see plainly that it is a forgery. I wish I could catch up with the bird who wrote it. I'd treat him in the manner in which he is entitled to be treated. You wonder sometimes what causes the 'nuts' to click."
