Additional Details

a charming miniature watercolor by tudor with greetings from her famous doll characters, the Cranes. The letter by her doll Melissa Crane concerns an article about Tudor in the December 1979 issue of Early American Life magazine written by the recipient of these cards. "In your article on Mrs. Tudor I read with pain your reference to me as one who reads `racy French novels' . . . were you in my position would you not blush with dismay at being designated as a reader of risqué books?" The drawings in this lot were created for the article, a copy of which is included.
