Autograph Letter Signed, "SLC," to astronomer John Tatlock, Jr. ("Dear Mr. Tatlock"), expressing thanks and admiration for the pamphlet he sent, and giving travel plans. 1 1/2 pages, 8vo, "Dollis Hill House" mourning stationery, written on first and terminal pages of a folded sheet; marked dampstaining to terminal page affecting signature and text (but still legible), nearly complete separations at folds of conjugate leaf.
