scarce salesman's dummy of the edition de luxe of the writings, that was published in a limited edition of 1000 copies. Title-page lists The Innocents Abroad, or The New Pilgrim's Progress. Laid down inside the front cover is a green cloth spine of a sample of the cloth binding with the printed paper label. Contains sample pages from books by Twain including one page each of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, two pages from the Innocents Abroad with 'Specimen Page' stamped in red at the bottoms, plus other sample critical and biographical material from the set.
