Additional Details

Announcement of the formation of the Young Men's Anti-Slavery Society, with their Constitution and by-laws. Contains a long explanation why the Society and the Colonizationists would never "coalesce." Prior to a visit to an anti-slavery meeting in Philadelphia, William Lloyd Garrison was an advocate of colonization. He founded the Liberator in 1831.
