The Lottery edition, large quarto, with full page colored frontispiece, two pages of engraved calligraphic title pages, and twenty-eight colored plates of flowers (including the Persian cyclamen) interspersed with typographically printed text, with two uncolored allegorical plates featuring cupid honoring Linnaeus and "inspiring plants with love"; expertly bound in full contemporary straight-grained red morocco boards with spine ornately tooled in gilt and blind, all edges gilt, binding somewhat rubbed; 14 3/4 x 12 in.
