Additional Details

First and only edition. Strangwayes was pressed to death after being found guilty of shooting and killing his brother-in-law through a window. A veteran of the first Civil War, Major Strangwayes' death by execution was hastened by friends who sat on the weight placed on his chest, to help the execution to a speedier end. Even so, it took eight to ten minutes for him to expire. Wing U-68; ESTC R204583.
